We work with young girls, one-on-one to empower them to stand in their power.
Our primary activities are youth mentorship, motivational speaking, college scholarships, financial planning, career assistance, breaking barriers, breaking free and cycle training series. With our youth mentorship, we teach basic life skills, anger management , and more. Our college scholarships help to offset costs and provide access to high school seniors. We also host free community events that provide access to disenfranchised women and girls.
Breaking Barriers. Breaking Free. Breaking Cycles.
“Breaking barriers, breaking free, and breaking cycles” represents overcoming through personal growth. Breaking barriers is essential to conquering external obstacles to be the best “YOU” you can be. Personal growth come from “breaking free” of negative behaviors. Breaking cycles involves letting go of anything that doesn’t make you better; including, patterns, habits, or behaviors that have been passed down through generations. These concepts are the formula for personal success in standing strong in who you are, internally and externally.

FOUNDER & CEO
I’m Dashia, and I grew up in an unstable environment. Growing up I was angry at my parents for not providing for my brother and I and started to make a way for us on my own. I started the I STAND Foundation because through all of my bad days, I always remained standing, fighting for the better life I wanted and knew I deserved. I want to give teens approaching adulthood the reassurance, support, and training in real-life skills that I had to learn along the day
